Comment / Arriving at Newcastle on the midday flight from Amsterdam. PH-EZA is the first of ten ERJ-190s due for delivery to KLM Cityhopper.

Comment / KLM Cityhopper's new ERJ-190s dropped into Newcastle on several occasions over Christmas and New Year. PH-EZA was the first of the new type to be delivered to Amsterdam, arriving on 10th November 2008.

Comment / KLM have dropped one of their Newcastle rotations for the winter season, meaning four daily flights as opposed to five. It also means a Cityhopper Fokker 100 can now be found on the morning service from Amsterdam, as opposed to the mainline Boeing 737s we've been used to for so long!

Comment / I used to bump into this Fokker 100 all the time at Stansted during the 90s; PH-OFI is the ex. G-UKFI of the late Air UK. She's still yet to be repainted into the new KLM livery, but looks smart nonetheless as she approaches Newcastle's runway 25 at sunset.

Comment / PH-KZK splashes down on one wheel completing the afternoon flight from Amsterdam.

Comment / It's quite a challenge to get your levels right from the Railway Station observation deck at Dusseldorf, with the horizon, runways and taxiways all appearing to run at different perspectives!

Comment / A newcomer to the Cityhopper fleet, acquired from Pelita (ex. PK-PFF) in February.
